Customs, Invoices, Packing Lists and Manifests:

Please email Invoices for new items or manifest with fair market values for already owned items to Tigers per the address above.  Please note that Customs will reject values they deem to be unrealistic or too low.

It is important for Bermuda Customs that invoices, or a manifest including fair market values, signed and identifying the producer, is consigned to the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Clup, Attn, Mr/Mrs XXXX Yacht XXXX, exactly as listed below.  Only those items being shipped to Bermuda may appear on the invoices or packing lists/manifest.  Pro Forma’s are not permitted.  All documents must be name consistent.  There may be only one consignee per shipment:

Items that are intended to be consumed in Bermuda are dutiable.  Items that are being temporarily imported are subject to Customs deposit duty of 33.38% which is refundable following presentation to Customs upon departure from Bermuda, to establish proof of export.  It is necessary to receive a Customs stamp or sign off on the original entry declaration, and to hand or send this to Bermuda Forwarders so that application for refund of the deposit duty may be made.  Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of deposit duty.  Please note the refund process can take up to 6 weeks or longer following refund application.
Wharfage of 1.25% will be paid to Bermuda Customs on all items entering Bermuda.  

Conditions of Carriage apply per Bill of Lading, Air Waybill, or Road Bill etc.
Export quality packing by the shipper, is required for all shipments to Bermuda.
All pieces should be labeled and addressed to the consignee’s name in Bermuda.
Invoices and packing lists are required and should be e-mailed to Tigers as listed above.
Pro-Forma invoices are not permitted in Bermuda.
Shipper & consignee names, cargo description and piece counts must be consistent across all documents.
