Pre-Race Preparation

We’re here to help you prepare. Please let us know of your interest, as soon as your curiosity is piqued. We will help make your planning and preparation process simple and productive. We have a team of Mentors standing by to help you out. These Mentors are race and offshore passage making veterans who are committed to helping first-timers understand how the race works and how to maximize your chances of doing really well your first time out. Send an e-mail to Marketing@marionbermuda.com and we will match you up with your own Mentor. Doing this early will give you maximum advantage.

Post-Race Preparations

  • You will need make arrangements for berthing your boat in Bermuda well before the race starts. The Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club provides excellent facilities for most all boats entered in the race. Complete the Dock Request form.
  • You will also want to reserve hotels or housing for yourself, your crew and your family in Bermuda after the race.
  • Plan for crew to bring your boat home from Bermuda after the festivities.
  • You will need to make airline reservations to get your crew home from Bermuda, and for your delivery crew to get into Bermuda.
  • For any of your (return delivery) crew who are flying into Bermuda - - You will need to provide a Captain’s Letter for your returning crew members to present to Bermuda customs. Customs will want to know how those people are planning on departing the country (since they only have a one-way airline ticket for arrival into Bermuda).
  • Make sure your passports are in order and that you have a Customs Decal for your boat to make re-entry into the US easier.
