February 21, 2006. We will be adding an IRC class for the 2007 Race. IRC will be used in addition to the traditional ORR (former Americap II) handicap system. This addition will open the race to a much broader spectrum of competitors. “First and foremost we are a cruising yacht race,” according to Graham Quinn, Executive Director of the race. “Our goal is to maintain the integrity and tradition of a cruising race while offering a choice of handicap systems to our participants.”
